Ayurbodha Yoga Pathashaala is an academy that works with the integrated knowledge of 2 divine sciences from the Bharata desha, i.e., Ayurveda and Yoga Vignanam. Acharyas of Bharata desha have meticulously addressed the very nature of the human kind and its associated boons and banes. One such conscientious contribution has been towards the management of health, the inconveniences that a human body can undergo and the impacts that it can have on the very existence of the suffering body and the society.
Acharya Sushrutha, thousands of years ago has defined what health or a healthy being actually means. He says, the one who has balanced Tridoshas – vata, pitta and kapha, has a balanced Agni (the digestive fire), balanced and poised Sapta dhatus – Rasa, Ratkta, Mamsa, Meda, Asthi, Majja and Shukra, right qualitative and quantitative excretion of the Trimalas – Mutra, Purisha and Sweda, has pleasant and gratifying nature in his/her Atma – consciousness, sense organs – 5 Jnanendriyas, 5 Karmendriyas and the Manas – the mind, such a living being is referred to as Swastha, i.e., Healthy. This is no much different from the contemporary definition of health as given by the world Health Organisation – Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Hence, keeping in mind the goal of achieving the true state of Health, along with the focus on the much needed fundamental aspect of Spirituality, Ayurbodha Yoga Pathashala aims at bringing the combined knowledge and benefits of Yoga and Ayurveda for the welfare of the society.
Not to forget the massive literary and practical contributions of the divine form of Lord Shesha, in the form of Patanjali Maharshi, Ayurbodha Yoga Pathashala bows down to the Maharshi.
